Tomoko Nagao

A re-creation of the Renaissance masterpiece, Sandro Botticelli’s “The Birth of Venus” in the style of “kawaii”, a combination of artistic connotation and the Superflat style, quickly brought the name Tomoko Nagao to European mainstream art media.

Born in 1976, Tomoko Nagao is a Japanese Pop artist based in Milan, Italy, and was inspired by the famous Japanese artist Nara Yoshitomo in her early production. She has developed a set of her own JapaPop Micropop Art after years of exploration and practice.
