WHATZ's History
Since its inception in 2020, participating artists have come from more than 20 countries and regions, with a total of more than 380 artists and more than 5,000 works on display.
The number of visitors exceeds 10,000 each year. "WHATZ" has become an important art event in Taiwan in May, attracting the attention of the Asian art world.
2020
The first "WHAAAAAT'S STUDIO OPENING" international art fair breaks through the traditional framework, takes curation as the core, creates a free and equal art exchange platform, and promotes close connections between artists, galleries and art lovers.
2022
It was renamed "WHATZ International Contemporary Art Fair" and continued to expand in scale.
2023
In November, we went to Singapore for the first time to hold “WHATZ A Brush with Luxury”.
2024
In October, we entered Hong Kong to host the "WHATZ Art Curators Fair", continuing to promote international art exchanges and innovative curatorial concepts.

2024 WHATZ ART CURATORS FAIR @ Hong Kong
After Singapore, WHATZ is heading overseas again, holding the first "WHATZ ART CURATORS FAIR" at the JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong from October 18 to 20, 2024. The exhibition brings together diverse art works by more than 150 emerging, middle-aged and award-winning artists from more than 12 countries and regions. The exhibition presents an art festival that combines innovation and tradition, exhibiting contemporary art with unique characteristics, bringing rich visual and spiritual shock to the audience.
2024 WHATZ International Contemporary Art Fair @ Taipei
From May 10 to 12, 2024, the WHATZ International Contemporary Art Fair will be held with the theme of "Beyond the ART—Beyond the Realm of Art". This year's exhibition brings together artists from more than 25 countries, displaying outstanding contemporary art works from Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, the Philippines, the United Kingdom and other places. Participating artists break through traditional boundaries, incorporate multiple elements into their creations, and present rich and diverse artistic expressions. Through the cross-border platform carefully constructed by WHATZ, the exhibition not only showcases contemporary art from all over the world, but also promotes artistic exchanges, cultural dialogues, and inspires more cross-border creative cooperation opportunities.
2023 WHATZ A Brush with Luxury @ Singapore
WHATZ Art Co., Ltd. and A Brush with Luxury Ltd. have teamed up for the first time to host "WHATZ A Brush with Luxury" at Conrad Singapore from November 17 to 19, 2023. The exhibition occupies two floors of the hotel, a total of 40 rooms, bringing together more than 40 top galleries from around the world, presenting a visual feast of seamless combination of art and luxury. This exhibition not only showcases the essence of contemporary art, but also incorporates a luxury lifestyle into it, bringing a new art experience to the audience.
2023 WHATZ International Contemporary Art Fair @ Taipei
The youthful and energetic "WHATZ International Contemporary Art Fair" will present a post-pandemic art feast to the audience with the "Red Dot Party" as its main visual in 2023. The fair brings together exhibitors from 12 countries including Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, and exhibits wonderful works by hundreds of artists. Through this creative and dynamic "Red Dot Party", the audience can not only appreciate contemporary art that blends multiple cultures, but also experience a visual event that interweaves art and social interaction.
2022 WHATZ International Contemporary Art Fair @ Taipei
The "WHATZ International Contemporary Art Fair" was held at the Sheraton Grand Taipei Hotel from May 20 to 22, 2022. The exhibition is located in the 65 guest rooms of the hotel, which are carefully planned as art areas with their own characteristics, exhibiting nearly 5,000 wonderful works of art from Europe, America, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. Visitors seem to enter a unique art space and enjoy an immersive visual and emotional experience. This fair brings together art lovers from all over the world to participate in this unique art event and feel the charm of the interweaving of multiple cultures.
